Happy Halloween! {Recipe Ideas}

Happy Halloween!  Are you looking for any food ideas to celebrate?  Here is a new idea and some links to earlier posts...

How about a fun and simple healthy snack? Use a permanent marker to draw a jack-o-lantern face on a small orange or tangerine.  Thanks for the cute photo Emily! {Idea found several places online.}
Can you spot the Cutie Jack-o-Lantern? :)
Emily said: "At this time of year, I am always on the lookout for a healthy but fun halloween snack.  Someone in Ben's preschool class brought these for a treat.  You basically buy a box or bag of Clementines, get out your black sharpie marker and draw jack o lantern faces on the citrus. If you mess up, use a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to remove the ink and start all over.  The pumpkins are from uncle Mark's garden. We go pick some every year."

For another idea you could always try those orange frosted Cinnamon Rolls I made a few years ago.

Or, maybe some bean dip with olive spiders?

What about something naturally orange--some Carrot Cookies with Orange Icing.

How about our favorite Pumpkin Bread recipe? This also works great as muffins!  I especially like them with a cream cheese and chocolate chip filling.

Mmmm...one of my favorite soups: Carrot Soup.  Yum!

And there you have some festive Halloween food ideas...I may not even have to resort to my standby classic orange Jell-O.  :)  Well, maybe I'll still make it!  Although, an Orange Cloud Salad might be a fun twist, instead!
