Cranberry Sauce

This recipe is so easy, and tastes so much better than canned cranberry sauce, you will never want to buy another can of sauce.

Cranberry Sauce
12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water or orange juice
Combine all in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until the berries pop. Chill until ready to serve.

Melinda's Notes: Although a traditional favorite at many Thanksgiving feasts, cranberry sauce also tastes good as a garnish for a grilled or baked chicken breast. If you freeze a bag of cranberries, you can easily make a half or quarter recipe of the sauce for a nice Sunday chicken dinner.

Mom's Note: The bowl is Grandmother Glade's cranberry bowl and the serving spoon was also hers.
